The castle of Brissac is an imposing castle, whose towers of the original medieval building stand on either side of a façade decorated in Renaissance and Baroque styles. The grandeur of the castle is further enhanced by the large stone pedestal on which it stands.

The first thing that catches your attention during your visit is the height of the castle with its seven floors, Brissac is the highest castle in France.
The architectural style of the castle's facade reflects the Renaissance and Baroque architecture that was used during the reconstruction, as the decorative masonry of the castle's facade clearly shows. The round towers incorporated into the building are part of the previous medieval castle at the same location.
The castle of Brissac has more than 200 rooms and your visit includes some very impressive rooms such as the Grand Gallery with its ornate ceiling and Aubusson tapestries, the dining room and the rooms with authentic period furniture. It also includes tastings of wines produced on the family vineyard.
Outside, the château is surrounded by a vast park which can also be explored during your visit. In the park you can see the mausoleum where the Dukes of Brissac were buried.
