Cholet Carnival 2026
As every year, Cholet is preparing to host its famous carnival. This year's event will take place from April 18th to 25th, 2026.
Renowned as one of the largest carnivals in western France, Cholet attracts nearly 80,000 spectators each year and mobilizes more than 150 carnival participants.

April 19th, 2026
The highlight of carnival week will begin with the daytime parade, scheduled for Sunday, April 19th.
On this occasion, monumental floats will parade through the streets of the city center, brought to life by carnival participants in dazzling costumes.
The parade will depart from the Legion of Honor roundabout at 2:30 p.m. and will proceed through the center of Cholet to Place du 8 Mai.

April 21, 2026
Between the parades, don't miss the Carnival Festival on Tuesday, April 21.
This lunchtime dance will take place in the Cholet town hall from noon to 8 p.m., accompanied by a live band.
April 2, 2026
On Wednesday, April 22, it's the younger crowd's turn with the Children's Carnival, a special event for families.
Under a shower of confetti, children will parade in costume through the streets of the city center before enjoying a concert at Place Travot at 3 p.m.
The festivities will continue with the cycling race and the traditional Carnival Grand Prix, held at 8 p.m.
April 25, 2026
The carnival will culminate in a spectacular night parade on Saturday, April 25.
In the twilight, the floats will be illuminated with a thousand lights for a magical nighttime procession.
The atmosphere created by the brass bands, the dazzling light displays, and the enthusiasm of the crowd make it a truly unique event.
The parade will begin at 9:30 p.m. at the roundabout near the Legion of Honor and is expected to arrive around midnight at Place du 8 Mai.
